About me

After playing in various Metal and Hardcore bands in the Sheffield area, best friends, Myke Woodward, James Brown and Shane Salthouse wanted to start a band influenced by bands they listened to while growing up. Originally, Myke was playing rhythm guitar, but as soon as his vocal range was discovered, he then became the lead singer.

 

The band asked drummer, Andrew Boswell (The Legacy, Visible Noise) to join and in summer of 2008 Ship To Shore’s line up was complete.

 

After a well received demo Ship To Shore headed out on the road to play shows up and down the country, winning over crowds as support to bands such as Set Your Goals, Crime in Stereo, Strung Out and Save Your Breath. 

 

After an abundance of successful shows Ship To Shore began writing new material which they planned to take into the studio and record their debut E.P in the summer of 2009. 

 

The forthcoming debut E.P, ‘Let’s Not Get Caught’, available December 2009 on Broken Night Records, was recorded over 6 days with renowned producer Matt Ellis at Axis Studios. The artwork is supplied by Ben Griffiths who has also worked with Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses and Attack! Attack!. 

 

Drawing from a healthy background of Pop Punk, Metal and Hardcore, Ship To Shore have constructed a distinctive sound of unforgettable melodies and powerful hooks. This E.P shows off their talent and knowledge that they have gained over the years packed full of infectious lyrics and uncontainable energy that will leave you wanting more.
