Biography

BBX - Hooky FX-laced riffs, infectious melodies,
tight grooves, all collide in intense emotionally-charged songs. Dark
energetic soundscapes, electrifyingly heavy yet accessible songs.


Fronted by Korean-born vocalist Sah Starr who sings, screams and growls her heartfelt lyrics, BBX formed not long after Sah & Mike met each other in late 2007. Realising they shared a mutual love of the
darker side of music, they decided to form their own band combining
many of the aural elements that meant so much to them but with their
own unique take and sound. And it clicked. The chemistry was perfect
and in the following months, an albums worth of songs was written,
ranging from the quiet and introspective to the brutally heavy -- all
coming from a very honest and provocative place.


A tight rhythm section was needed to complete the lineup -- bassist Scott joined the band and brought drummer Chris onboard. The two had previously played in the same band some time before, bringing a familiarity and instant musical rapport. Scott -- with his articulate handling of bass and live presence, and Chris -- with powerful beats and intense grooves, put their stamp on the BBX backbone..


The band was ready to go, emerging as an explosive live force and has never looked back.
