Biography
This Chicago based band formed after Pete Wentz, front man of venerable hardcore troop, Arma Angelus, brought about the demise of the up and coming band to join forces with his friend, guitarist Joe Trohman, who started to write pop songs for fun. The dynamic duo stumbled upon the charismatic Patrick Stumph, and without further ado, Patrick became the vocalist for the newly formed band. After many a failed tryout, the band found the perfect drummer right under their noses, an old friend by the name of Andy Hurley. They quickly put together a 3 song demo that made it around their home city of Chicago like wildfire and soon enough the fans were coming out in droves to their shows. Drawing from a healthy wealth of rock, pop, and hardcore, Fall Out Boy has constructed a distinctive sound of unforgettable melodies and quick stop-and-start breakdowns that mischievously flirt with clever lyrics and mulitfaceted guitar hooks.
