Biography
The Starrs are a brand-new rock trio featuring members from former Kung Fu recording artists 'Antifreeze'. Jon Tyler, Rick Starr, and Derek Rice, the remainders of the Antifreeze disbandment are taking the pop/punk idea of Antifreeze to a more basic mid-tempo rock style.

"We want to play the songs we want to play," says frontman Jon Tyler. "We play what we think sounds good, not what's punk or rock or pop."

As Antifreeze they've toured extensively around the U.S. on the Vans Warped Tour. They've opened for The Ataris, Sugarcult, Tsunami Bombi, Story Of The Year, and a bunch of other great acts. The Starrs are currently finished recording their first album. "The Starrs are simply a great band with undeniably great songs. Their live shows are filled with a kind of energy that hasn't been seen around in a while. They have a great chemistry on stage and the songs sound as good live as they do on the recordings. The response from fans at shows have been unbelievable. Led by lead singer, main songwriter and producer Jon Tyler, their independent CD is full of songs that are a good fit for Mod & Alt rock, Top40 Radio across the board.
