Biography
New York, NY – Noted progressive house DJ/producer D:FUSE brings you Begin – his debut artist album, featuring twelve original tracks, plus two bonus remixes, including the singles “Everything With You” and “Living The Dream” – arriving on System Recordings November 2rd, 2004. The CD is
three years in the making, taking D:FUSE from the outskirts of London to Los Angeles to Chicago and beyond, writing and recording with Jes (of Motorcycle fame), Blueletter (aka Grey Area), Pete Lorimer (aka 29 Palms), and others. With its rich and varied material showcasing D:FUSE’s songwriting and
production skills, Begin is sure to appeal to both clubbers and listeners at home in equal measures.
“This album has allowed me to get back into song writing. I’ve been a lyricist all of my life, and “Begin” is all about moving away from instrumental tracks and moving more into heart-felt emotion through words,” D:FUSE says.
A Texas native, D:FUSE has been making progressive dance music for over ten years, producing hits played by every major DJ from Paul Oakenfold to Carl Cox. With an on-going DJ residency at the legendary Release in San Francisco, a busy touring schedule in the US, as well as headlining spots in
the UK, D:FUSE is a hot commodity worldwide. D:FUSE’s DJ sets include an element of live performance, using the Roland V-Pad to play percussion during his sets and featuring guest vocalists
for live PAs. D:FUSE also holds his place in radio with his own shows on XM Satellite Radio, a weekly mix show on Q101’s Sonic Boom in Chicago, and his Mile High Mix for Delta Airlines’ in flight
programming.
Politically outspoken concerning a number of causes, D:FUSE actively campaigns against the Rave Act and performs at registration drives in support of “Rocking the Vote.” D:FUSE also passionately lobbies for artist and label rights in the light of the recent huge increase in illegitimate CD burning and file sharing which has blighted the music industry.
Says superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold, who enlisted D:FUSE as his opening DJ on two North American Perfecto tours, and included the Extended Version of “Living the Dream” on his just released
Creamfields CD and the Chill Version on the ”Perfecto Chills Volume 2”:
