THE LACQUER IS CUT
Jerrycan and S.O.L. Records is pleased to announce their 12" vinyl
"The Day the World Died" is now available on www.jerrycan.com
This limited press vinyl (only 300 copies) was engineered by two of Canadas greatest engineers.
Robert Di Gioia ( David Bowie,Our Lady Peace,Finger 11) did the mixing at Pancake Porterhouse studios and the legendary George Graves (U2,Alice Cooper,Gordie Johnson,Jim Guthrie,Rush) mastered and cut the lacquer.
"When I first heard the JerryCan analog recording "Sell em Back Cheap" the hair on the back of my head started to lift, It was powerfull, raw and angry, unlike anything I had heard on any cd in the past" says James Cavan S.O.L. Records.
JerryCan, better known to their french fans as Du Jerry was formed in 96 with a dream to create energetic music with integrity.Their music is difficult to define and often called eclectic, aggressive loud rock. With influences like Refused,Blue Rodeo,Van Morrison,Bad Religion and Manowar???? Well you do the math!!!
JerryCan has had numerous top 10 and #1 songs in the majority of College and University charts in Canada and also charted in U.S.A.
JerryCan has toured Canada two times and Quebec numerous times, been on television and have been featured on national radio a number of times. JerryCan had a #2 song on Garageband.com selected from over 15,000 other songs in 2000
JerryCan has played with great bands like Raised Fist, Propaghandi, Satanic Surfers, Belvedere, 59 Times the Pain, Randy, Sum 41, Adhesive, I Farm, Flashlight, The Pavers, Captured by Robots, Ensign, Agnostic Front, D.O.A, Finger Eleven,(selected for their Summer of Judgement Tour) Pezz,Warsawpack,Tub Ring,The Misfits, Anti Nowhere League,The Adicts,The Subhumans,Ripcordz, and many more.

"Canada seems to follow a level of consistancy in bringing good music to the fans. "Jerry Can" has more energy than a pack of riddlin and infectious Punk melodies that will hook you to the gills.
Any listener with good taste will chew the fat and like it...

I love the fact that you guys are not mono-emotional.This song (Georgie Porgie)has a really broad range of emotion both sonically and lyrically that makes it really representational of our current times of uncertainty(written during the war in Iraq)................
I love as always the successfull merging of mega-contrasts that is so very JerryCan.There are sad parts and huge textural differences that kick ****.........
The end reminds me of Classic Rock Heros blowing minds at a giant stadium. Its fast and the level of musicianship is awesome...........
Basically I really like the track a lot. I think there are so many things that make JerryCan stand out from most other bands right now and this song is totally indicative of why.

"The songs all have deep sentiments lyrically, but still manage to carry out thet angry, aggressive, hard sound. It really grows on you."
Review Prog.Ress by JerryCan
Matt Dell/PunkCanada.net
This CD gives me hope that, living in a basement, in a small farm town in the prairies, Kurt Cobain is still alive, listening to Pink Floyd, shred metal, and Choke, secretly hiding his identity by releasing CDs under the name "Jerry Can." ............
The band likes their music to be labeled as "Canada Core"; a term that they hope won't let them limit the sound of the music. It think it's a pretty appropriate name as this CD truly has limitless musical boundries, yet strangely gives more of a Canadian feeling than devouring a poutine or rocking out in a jean jacket to the Tragically Hip
.........when singer Jeremy unleashes one of the most primordial screams ever heard in Canadian music. I really hope Jerry Can will realize that for technical music the recording needs to be perfect because if they do this, their next release will surely be one of the most exciting releases of the year.
Fortunately this CD is so good that I can put up listening to it anyway

When you the listener are tired of listening to straight punk with the same beats, same guitar riffs, and the same vocal harmonies from song 1 to 15,grab Prog.Ress from JerryCan and you will experience every musical style in one intense cd.Heavy Nirvana-ish rock meets angry furious punk!!
