Biography
We are The Red October, a hardcore emo band from Caerphilly, South Wales. The main influences on our sound are Refused, Hondo Maclean, Thrice, From Autumn to Ashes, Atreyu and Sir Sean Connery. We've been playing in bands together and with various other members for the last few years, before settling on our current line-up last October (hence the name).

We have four members: Jack Skivens, our sexually challenged vocalist and guitarist; Luke Briffett, his some-time lover and partner in crime, who serves as the band's bearded bassist; Paul Smythe, the lovable rogue with a heart of gold and the fingers of Jimmi Hendrix; and finally Kris Riddiford, acid-cock rock extraordinaire and drummer whose double-bass action and powerful rhythms power our furious vengeance.

We've been described as sounding like "a famous band being played on CD" by the organisers of the Teen Spirit event at the Cardiff Barfly, who rated our live show 5 out of 5, and asked us to return for the next Teen Spirit event.

Although we've only played a handful of gigs at the moment, with more lined-up, we have already built a small but dedicated fan base. And through it all, we may sell out, we may lose everything, we may gain everything, we may become the future of rock n roll, but we will always love the cock...
