Biography
The Citadel came together in the late months of 2002 in an already thriving South Wales scene. Where Michael Mansfield, Ben Mainwaring, John - Marc Comperat and Jonathan Watkins began playing as many different styles of music as possible. One Demo and several gigs later the band decided their sound was going nowhere and began to form their own sound.

The band set out to combine all influences, such as conventional acts like Foo Fighters, Incubus, The Used and John Butler Trio, along with other artists such as Johnny Cash and Damien Rice. In an original way with no intention of becoming part of any particular scene or "clique".

With their sound continually developing and the band pushing themselves creatively things can hopefully only progress.
